ARVIN XMAS PARADE IN LIMBO

The Chamber of Commerce in Arvin will decide tonight [tue] whether to put on their 62nd annual Christmas Parade this year after being hit with a $15-hundred deposit. Documents provided to KUZZ/KCW News show overtime for city workers and police would also have to be paid, which the Chamber estimates at $4-thousand. Arvin is grappling with a $2-million budget deficit caused by an accounting error and this is the fist time there has been a fee to put on the parade. The meeting is 6pm at Chepe’s Restaurant on Bear Mountain Blvd.
