Two men accused of wounding a security guard during a shootout at an east Bakersfield pot shop have pleaded not guilty to attempted murder. Deputies say Robert Williams and Marvell Carruthers were confronted before they could rob the Peace and Medicine Marijuana Dispensary on Niles Street and Locust Ravine last year.

They also face gang and weapons charges.
