An early morning fire that broke out in a vacant commercial building in southeast Bakersfield is being investigated as suspicious. The flames were shooting through the roof of the small structure on Cottonwood Road near Filson Street around 3:45am Wednesday when crews arrived, the city building department and PG&E also responded.
