The Bakersfield man convicted of strangling his estranged wife then dumping her body in Ojai has been sentenced to 15-years-to-life in prison.

Gonzalo Garibay was arrested in 2016 after leading investigators to Rosa Garibay’s body in a remote area off Highway 33. Prosecutors say he killed her in their southwest Bakersfield home hours after seeing her with another man.
