A house pet has been saved following an apartment fire on North Mill Street in Tehachapi. Kern County firefighters responded just after 9:00 Tuesday night and found smoke coming from the four-unit building. The animal was revived using a resuscitation mask. The flames were knocked down in about five minutes.
