A man who barricaded himself inside a north Bakersfield hotel room has pleaded no contest to making a false bomb threat. 56-year-old Ronald Burt called in the threat to Sheriff’s deputies last month from the Best Economy Inn on Olive Tree Court before being coaxed out. A search turned up NO explosive material and he’s expected to be sentenced next month.
