The Bakersfield City Council has approved a plan to add several reverse parking spots to 18th Street between N and Q streets downtown. Ward 2 councilman Andrae Gonzales said at Wednesday night’s meeting that requiring people to back-in adds nine more spots and is cheaper than building a parking garage.
