Nine so-called “unaccompanied veterans” received full military honors during a ceremony at Bakersfield National Cemetery. Director William Pickard tells KGET-TV that yesterday morning’s event in Arvin is a way to make things right. Unaccompanied veterans are those who did NOT have any family present when they were buried, the ceremony is held four times a year.
