The Bakersfield man charged with stabbing a man whose body was found on Union Avenue has pleaded no contest to assault with great bodily injury in a plea deal. Dyllan Denna had given Jeffrey Woodford a ride home from a bar last October but the motive for the incident is unclear. Sentencing is May 16th, co-defendant Mary Holmes is charged with first-degree murder.
