USED WATER, RECYCLED

The State Water Resources Board has passed new rules to allow recycled water in our reservoirs. The rules would put some treated toilet water in your tap. Randy Barnard with the State Water Resources Control Board says adding water from your toilet or shower to our surface water will help us fight the drought. Barnard says it will be filtered at least three times before it hits your tap, countries like Israel have used this technology successfully for decades to increase their water supply. The Board recently approved the rules to help fight the drought and deal with our growing population, treated recycled water is already approved for industrial cooling and agriculture.
