A Bakersfield Police Sergeant has been cited for driving drunk on-duty.

BPD says other officers reported Chris Johnson during the incident in February, but there was not enough evidence to arrest him before Thursday. The investigation was eventually turned over to the District Attorney’s Office. Johnson has been on paid leave since the incident.

He joined the force in 2000.
