Bakersfield Police have arrested 19-year-old Daniel Quiroz for killing another teenage boy and wounding a third during a shooting near South High School.

Sgt. Brian Holcombe says they don’t know the motive for the attack two weeks ago on 17-year-old Anthony Gutierrez, whose body was found on Fambrough Drive, but they are considering it a gang killing. Another teenage suspect had already been taken into custody.

Community tips led to Quiroz’ arrest.
