A generator malfunction sparked a container fire that burned for six hours at a southeast Bakersfield concrete recycling facility.

Bakersfield Fire Chief Tyler Hartley says a diesel fuel leak from inside the container helped feed Monday morning’s fire on East White Lane and Madison Avenue. The container was also holding rubber products which caught fire as well.
