SENTENCED AGAIN FOR MURDER

The Oildale man whose murder conviction was thrown out by a state appeals court has been sentenced to 15-years-to-life in prison after he pleaded no contest to second-degree murder.

Jeffrey Hardin stabbed Michael Kabonic in a schizophrenic episode on Sheridan Avenue eight years ago, but the appeals court said bringing up Hardin’s meth use prejudiced the original jury.
