A Bakersfield man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for shooting at a car with his ex-girlfriend and another man inside.

Cory Pearson pleaded no contest to assault with a firearm for last year’s attack, which caused the car to crash. Pearson then took the woman to a motel on Panama Lane where he was arrested the next day.
