The family of the late attorney Ben Greene is suing over his death that happened as took part in a Bakersfield Track Club event.
It was a year ago today that Greene collapsed during the 5k run at Hart Park when temperatures topped 100 degrees.
Attorney Eric Dubin of Irvine says the club was negligent for not canceling the event. An autopsy later showed Greene was using medication for cardiovascular disease and was also using meth. The suit was brought on behalf of his wife and nine children.
