Bakersfield Congressman Kevin McCarthy is praising President Trump’s executive order keeping immigrant families together at the border.

At Wednesday’s Republican briefing in Washington, the House Majority Leader said he’s confident Congress will pass an updated immigration act by Thursday that would outlaw that policy, fund a border wall, cap the number of immigrants we accept each year, and provide a path to citizenship for Dreamers.

But some conservatives are calling it an amnesty bill while most Democrats don’t want the wall.
