An inmate has walked away from the Bakersfield Re-Entry Center on California and Union avenues. Deontrey Johnson is also accused of tampering with his electronic monitoring device before taking off yesterday [tue] afternoon.

Johnson is described as 20 years old, 5’9″ tall, and weighs 147 pounds.

The Re-Entry Center is a transitional program for non-violent offenders. Johnson was convicted of second-degree robbery two years ago.
