A six hour standoff with Kern County SWAT in Lake Isabella has led to the rescue of a woman who’d been missing since last week…and the discovery of a dead body inside the home.

Deputies say a man on Hall Court near Pasadena Lane claimed to have explosives when they arrived around 6:30 Wednesday night. Homicide detectives are at the scene.
