Eighteen Kern County firefighters are helping fight two large wildfires in Northern California.

Three engine companies are at the 3,900 acre Lane Fire in Tehama County or the out of control 11,500 acre Pawnee Fire in Lake County.

The Lane Fire is currently 45% contained, but the Pawnee Fire is only 5% contained and has also destroyed 22 structures and forced evacuations.
