PRISON FOR PORTERVILLE POLICE SHOOTING

A Porterville man has been sentenced to 41 years to life in prison for shooting and wounding a police officer during a traffic stop two years ago. 31-year-old Ruben Carreles jumped out of the passenger seat and took off down Olive Avenue, then shot the officer in the backside when he caught up to him.
