Former Cal State Bakersfield assistant professor Theodore Ishida has pleaded no contest to possessing child porn. Ishida is expected to get probation and will have to register as a sex offender for life when he’s sentenced in September.

Police found hundreds of images on his computer in December after Ishida reported a burglar was blackmailing him. That man, Francois Gariepy, is facing extortion charges and has his next hearing August 6th.
