Kern County Fire Chief Brian Marshall says people need to sigh up for ReadyKern now. There are several ways you can sign up to be notified by ReadyKern on the Kern County Fire webpage. Marshall says his crews are ready for anything, but recommends people get the pine needles off the roof, clear brush, and move the wood pile away from the house so his crews can have a fighting chance to save it.
