More than 100 concrete trucks will come and go all day Thursday near Truxtun Avenue and Mohawk Street as part of the Kern River Improvement Project in Bakersfield. Manager Luis Topete says 12-hundred cubic yards of concrete will be poured as they build the off-ramp from Hwy 58 westbound onto Mohawk Street, which is the first of four phases to complete the one bridge, with a total of four bridges that will be built. Topete does not expect lanes to be blocked.
