The Kern County Veterans Memorial in downtown Bakersfield is being repaired two months after it was vandalized.

The county is kicking in the $1,500 needed to fix the broken pane of glass, while the city and police department are planning to add security cameras to catch future vandals, who have damaged the memorial twice in the past year.
