Two people have been wounded during a botched armed robbery at the Metro PCS phone store on Chester Avenue and 11th Street in central Bakersfield.

Two suspects with handguns headed inside around 6:00 Thursday night, and witnesses say they heard at least four shots fired.

One suspect was wounded while the identity of the second person hurt is not known. It’s unclear if anyone else inside was armed.

The second suspect is still on the loose but police don’t have a description.
