Two former Sheriff’s deputies, who pleaded guilty in federal court to stealing marijuana from evidence lockers, have been arrested again and are facing similar charges in Kern County.

Logan August, who turned himself in Friday, had apologized on YouTube last year for his role in the drug running scheme that sent Bakersfield Police detectives Damacio Diaz and Patrick Mara to federal prison for five years.

August and his partner Derrick Penney, who was arrested in Idaho, got three years probation in their federal case last year.
