Bakersfield Police have arrested a man for stabbing his ex-girlfriend and a Good Samaritan, who tried to stop the attack inside a Starbucks on Stockdale Highway and New Stine Road.

Robert Rivas is also accused of chasing the woman with a machete from a nearby apartment into the coffee shop Sunday.

Both victims have been hospitalized with the woman in critical condition.
