Adventist Health is planning to build a new hospital in northwest Bakersfield.

The company had been planning a second Bakersfield facility for awhile because the downtown hospital is getting crowded. The new hospital will be next to the Bakersfield Commons project on Brimhall and Coffee roads and should be open by 2024.
