A six-month-old Tehachapi girl is recovering from brain surgery in the hospital after she was mauled by a dog.

Adaliah Fritz’s mother was changing her diaper when Khonsou attacked, biting her eye and puncturing her skull.

The family had taken Khonsou in after his original owner was arrested, and they always knew him as a friendly pup. But Kern County Animal Services is deciding what to do with the Dogo-Argentino, who previously attacked a two-year-old girl.
