The man who admitted shooting at a plain clothes Kern County Sheriff’s detective has been sentenced to three years probation.

66-year-old Michael Beilby mistakenly thought the deputy was engaged in a sex act as he was standing outside an unmarked car on Watts Drive and Cottonwood Road in southeast Bakersfield last July.
