Some Oildale residents are asking the North of the River Recreation and Parks District to do more to kick out marijuana users from the new skate park on Airport Drive.

General Manager David McArthur says rangers have started patrolling it several times a day, but he’s been impressed with the skaters, who often ask those with drugs to leave.

Those who see any illegal activity, including smoking and drinking at the park, are encouraged to call Sheriff’s deputies.
