NEW LAB FOR BC HVAC IN DELANO

Students in the new HVAC program at the Bakersfield College Delano campus will have a new place for hands-on training by next summer. Assemblyman Rudy Salas was there for today’s groundbreaking, and says it’s being paid for with a million-dollars from the state budget given to BC’s Rural Initiatives program. “What they were doing at Bakersfield College…one of the only HVAC programs, heating, ventilation and refrigeration, in the entire valley happening right here, but they needed the resources to create a new lab.” The HVAC classes launched this summer are already popular, where students cam learn all aspects of the trade from basic skills to high tech and can get a Certificate or Associates Degree of Science when they’re done.
