The state Water Resources Board says the first allocation of the year for State Water Project contractors is just 10-percent, due to below average storage in several reservoirs. The allocation eventually rose to 35-percent last year after starting out at 15-percent, but it’s been drier this year. The amount of water released will change with more rain and snow.
