Bakersfield drivers will only be able to use one lane on 23rd street tonight [Friday night] for the 24th Street Improvement Project. The outside lane between D and M streets will be closed for repaving from 7 pm to 5 am. Motorists who need to travel on 23rd street are encouraged to use alternate routes such as Truxton Avenue to avoid construction delays.
