LIGHTS BACK ON AT CALM AFTER OUTAGE

The Holiday Lights will be back on tonight [wed] at the California Living Museum in Bakersfield, after a power outage forced the show to close on Christmas Eve. Curator of Animals Sharon Adams tells KGET TV they’d lost power before the gates opened at 5:30, and kept the staff and volunteers in place until 7:15. “At that point we decided to call it, not knowing when the power would be back on.” There’s no word on the cause of the outage, but Holiday Lights is a major fundraiser for the zoo just east of Hart Park. The display of over two-million lights will be up every night from 5:30 to 9:00 through January 5th.
