Two historic restaurants in Bakersfield have recently closed, Sinaloa on 20th Street, and La Colonia in east Bakersfield. Sinaloa has been there for 70 years, with the building and business listed for $1.9-million. La Colonia has shut its doors without explanation, posting only a handwritten note saying they don’t know if its “a goodbye or a see you later” to their “amazing patrons.” Casa Tequila on California Avenue is also closing to make way for the Centennial Corridor Project along Easton Drive.
