House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of Bakersfield says President Trump took decisive action Friday to “put people over politics” and reopen the government. He also called on democratic leaders to do what the American people expect…create a secure border. Hanford Congressman TJ Cox also released a statement Friday, saying he’s angry that the showdown happened at all, and families who were hurt financially will be feeling the effects for years to come.
