L.A. County Health Officials Warn Of Potential Hepatitis Outbreak At Clinic

(Los Angeles, CA) — About 500 people treated at a medical clinic in Los Angeles are being urged to get tested for hepatitis. The L.A. County Department of Public Health says six patients diagnosed with hepatitis C have been linked to the Westside Multispecialty Medical Group on Willshire Boulevard. Health officials are asking people to get tested if they received injections, infusions or underwent procedures at the clinic between January 2016 and December of last year. It hasn’t been determined how the transmission occurred.
