The Bakersfield City Council has reopened the selection process for the Measure N oversight committee, after one member stepped down because of his busy schedule. The council has also been criticized for appointing just one woman from 80 applicants. The panel will advise the council on spending the one cent public safety sales tax approved by voters in November.
