Sharp Reversal In CA Drought Conditions

(Sacramento, CA) — Almost 90-percent of California is now drought free. The U.S. Drought Monitor says roughly ten-percent of the state is “abnormally dry,” the mildest of five drought categories. This includes portions of Siskiyou and Modoc counties along the Oregon border, and San Diego, Riverside, and Imperial counties at the Mexican border. This week’s numbers are almost a complete reversal from just three months ago. In December, more than 92-percent of the state was dealing with some level of drought.
