PG&E says a power outage affected Downtown BakersfieldThis began Monday afternoon when the Bakersfield Fire Department responded to a burning smell coming from an electrical vault at 20th and Eye Streets. PG&E cut power to help fire crews combat the issue. PG&E says the outage affected customers are concentrated from Service Street to 21st Street along Chester Ave.
