Firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that killed two pets at a southwest Bakersfield home and left damage on two floors and in the attic. Reports say the flames broke out around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon on Vista Ridge Drive off Buena Vista Road. One person inside the house got out okay.
