California Cities Sue State Over Pot Delivery Mandate

California cities that ban pot shops are suing the state over mandated pot deliveries. A lawsuit was filed on behalf of 24 cities in Fresno Superior Court yesterday. It claims the California Cannabis Control Bureau is violating Proposition 64 by allowing state-licensed firms to deliver marijuana within their city limits. The cities argue the measure that legalized recreational marijuana also guaranteed local control over cannabis-related activities. They add that laws that allow legal delivery services to use public roads doesn’t force cities to allow deliveries all the way to a private home’s doorstep.
