The Kern County Grand Jury is weighing in on the brand new oversight committee for Measure N sales tax revenue in Bakersfield. It’s recommending random drawings for the selection of future committee members, after complaints that the current slate were all known to the city council. The Grand Jury also calls for four year terms instead of three years, and for full disclosure to voters of how future tax monies would be spent.
