More Details into Msgr. Harrison Investigation

We are learning more about the case against Monsignor Craig Harrison. The Firebaugh Police Department says the victim of the alleged sexual abuse told them it happened while the victim was 16 or 17 years-old. He was an alter boy and was apparently alone with then-father Harrison when the acts were said to have taken place.

The Firebaugh Police Department is currently investigating a report of alleged sexual misconduct by Monsignor Craig Francis Harrison. On Monday, April 15, diocese personnel came to the police department to make a report of an incident that occurred within the city of Firebaugh.They advised through an internal investigation, of their own, they discovered information they were mandated to report. After speaking with the reporting party, Officer Monay contacted and interviewed the alleged victim.The victim, an adult now, was 16 or 17 years of age and an altar boy when the inappropriately touching occurred. At the time, the victim told the officer he was alone with Monsignor Harrison when he was inappropriately touched on three separate occasions.During this time, Monsignor Harrison was the priest of the St. Joseph Church in Firebaugh. No charges have been filed, due to the investigation being ongoing.
