A man is dead from complications due to a shooting that happened back in 2004. The Kern Sheriff says the body of John Christopher Thompson was discovered at a home in the 2200 Block of Manley Court in Northeast Bakersfield in February. Authorities say an investigation showed Thompson died from causes related to the shooting. They’ve ruled it a homicide.
