POT ORDINANCE CRITIC FACES GUN CHARGE

Bakersfield pot shop owner David Abbassi, who’s a vocal critic of the county rules banning them, is facing charges of brandishing a firearm at a teenager. Bakersfield Police say he pepper sprayed two dogs that were fighting but the boy thought he was being being attacked and hit Abassi. That was April 28th. The DA says Abassi did not have a concealed weapons permit and declined to prosecute the boy. Abassi’s dog died in the attack.
