The highway patrol’s holiday weekend campaign against drunk and impaired driving has resulted in 45 arrests for DUI in the Bakersfield area, but no fatalities were reported. Officers also screened for signs of drug use. The maximum enforcement period ran from 6pm Friday until Midnight Monday.
