Kern Medical has announced the opening of a new surgery center in Bakersfield for outpatient services. Chief Strategy Officer Scott Thygerson says it’s intended to improve patient access and streamline operations. “This surgery center is located over on the Stockdale Hwy. corridor, it’s located right by some of our physician offices and surgery offices.” The outpatient surgery center has three operating rooms and a procedure room, it keeps patients and doctors from dealing with scheduling delays, loads of paperwork and higher costs associated with outpatient surgeries at a hospital.
